Sean Huddle Medal

2024/25 - Sean Huddle with inaugural winner Warren Else (Woodend).

The Sean Huddle Medal is named in honour of the former Bacchus Marsh all-rounder, two-time Sullivan medallist, and GDCA Hall of Famer, Sean Huddle.  The "Shuddle" as he was affectionately known was a quality fast bowler who went on to redefine one day cricket in the association when he took to opening the batting.  Before T20 cricket was a thing, Huddle was dispatching opening bowlers to all parts of the ground from ball one.  Huddle still currently holds the GDCA record score in KenMac Shield cricket, where he smashed 140 off less than 100 balls.

The award is given to the best player in the McIntyre Cup 1sts One Day Final, as adjudged by the umpires, who cast their 3,2,1 votes after the game.
